When you use Advanced Find, you can have one or more search criteria, including custom criteria you define, for the same or different fields. Following are some common searches performed with the Advanced Find dialog box to find these items and files:
The search returns items with any name that contains the text you type. For example, to find messages sent to Beth and Elizabeth, you can type Beth.
To quickly find all messages from a particular sender, in the main Microsoft Outlook window, select a message from that person. On the Tools menu, point to Find, and then click Messages from Sender. To quickly find all messages in an e-mail conversation, select one of the messages in the conversation. On the Tools menu, point to Find, and then click Related Messages.
Attended or organized by a specific person
If the category you want isn't available in the Available categories box, click Master Category List, type a name for the category, click Add, and then click OK.

To search on file names, enter the value in the Named box. To search on a specific word or combination of characters within the file, enter the value in the Search for the word(s) box:
